The PFF Class of 2022
When these 65 at-risk individuals signed up for the PFF Skills Training program in January of 2020, no one knew what was in store. The global pandemic caused disruption to schooling and gathering of any sort, but this group persevered. Sometimes meeting outside, sometimes meeting one on one, sometimes working at home, they continued to practice their sewing and tailoring skills. In April of 2022 we were finally able to give them the graduation celebration they deserved. Now, all 65 of these graduates will be able to put their skills to use, making and mending garments and developing their own aesthetic. They are all welcome to join our PFF Alumni Association, which offers opportunities for fabric loans and advanced training. 80% of PFF graduates report earning an income from their new skills right away. This gives them independence, empowerment, and limitless possibilities for the future.
