The PFF Holiday Bazaar

One of the beautiful things about teaching women and girls skills like tailoring, jewelry making, and design is that then they can make beautiful things, and they can send them to us, and even when we can’t fly across the world to see one another, we can still hold their work in our hands. This is one way that we can stay connected. And not only that - it means that the graduates of our program find markets to sell their work, and they can fulfill the mission of Paper Fig by supporting themselves and their families.

That is the dream that is realized with every bazaar. And now, we are taking it a step further to bring people from the communities we work and live in in New York. Local artisans, like Salt & Soul candles and Susan Barth Designs jewelry, set up beside the PFF Alumni Association, Gahaya Links from Rwanda, and PFF mentor Fiona Naigwe from Kampala. We are thrilled to create spaces where all of these beautiful goods can exist together, and where our supporters and donors can take home precious treasures as tokens of our appreciation.
